Lehman Brothers
Represented CLOs and financial institutions in connection with the chapter 11 cases of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and certain subsidiaries. On Sept. 15, 2008, the 158-year-old investment bank filed for bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, with more than $600 billion in assets.
Jefferson County, Alabama
Represented a large financial institution in the chaper 9 case of Jefferson County in the U.S. Bamkruptcy Court for the District of Alabama. Jefferson County was the largest US municipal borrower to go bankrupt when it entered court protection in 2011.
R. H. Macy & Company
Represented R.H. Macy & Company and certain subsidiaries in connection with their successful restructuring pursuant to their chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. At the time, the then 133-year-old retailer was credited for setting the standards for American department stores.
Eastern Air Lines
Represented Eastern Air Lines and certain subsidiaries in connection with their chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
United Air Lines
Represented a group of financial institutions as secured lenders in connection with the chapter 11 cases of UAL Corporation and certain subsidiaries in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
